Arden Engraving in the running for top industry award

Arden Engraving has been unveiled as a finalist in the prestigious Solutions Awards 2020.

We’re in the running for the ‘Best of the Best’ category in recognition of our science-themed sample pack.

The Solutions Awards 2020 are organised by leading media and publishing company Earth Island to recognise the most innovative and creative projects in print and graphic design.

Judges were impressed with our sample pack, which we launched in a bid to spark the creativity of the luxury packaging market. It was produced in-house on our clamshell press, with the dies coming from our sister company Arden Dies.

The sample pack incorporates our range of tooling solutions and capabilities from multi-level embossing to 3D microfoil and lenticular foil, drawing inspiration from science and the elements.

Sarah Poynter, Operations Manager at Arden Engraving, said: “We really braved the elements with our sample book, which was inspired by the science, technology and innovation that’s all around us – we even brought Albert Einstein to life in multi-level blind emboss.

“The project was a real team effort, drawing upon the creativity of our workforce to bring the vision to life, so to find out we’ve been shortlisted for a top industry award makes us incredibly proud and is testament to the hard work and creative imaginations of everyone involved.”

As part of our commitment to promoting sustainable packaging, the sample pack was also printed locally on Carbon Balanced Paper. This paper is sourced through Europe’s leading packaging and paper supplier, Antalis, who work with the World Land Trust to balance the carbon expended in the paper production process through the protection and promotion of indigenous forestry.

All the finalists are now subject to a public vote and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in November.
