The Arden Group has become the first die-making and engraving company in the UK to achieve a coveted accreditation in recognition of our eco-friendly operations.
Arden Dies and Arden Engraving have made history after being certified as an ISO 14001 company.
The coveted ISO 14001 accreditation, is an international standard which recognises organisations that have a successful environmental management system in place.
Arden’s environmental management system clearly sets out how we aim to minimise our environmental impact, including measures such as increasing recycling capacity, monitoring energy usage and not using chemical processes in production.
Martin Poynter, Managing Director of the Arden Group, said: “The Arden Group is very proud to be leading the way in the die-making sector and to be internationally recognised for being an environmentally friendly company.
“Protecting the environment is everyone’s responsibility and we’ve always promoted a ‘green’ culture across the business. Our corporate colours might be blue, but we’re very much a green company at heart.
“We no longer use any chemical processes in our production, the majority of the products we produce across our dies and engraving divisions are between 80-100% recyclable and we’ve cut our own plastic use internally by banning the use of bubble wrap and unnecessary packaging.
“It’s never been more important to promote sustainability within the packaging sector, so to be recognised for our efforts in this area is testament to the hard work of the whole workforce.”
The Arden Group of companies, which comprises of Arden Dies, Arden Engraving and Arden Software is a leading name in the packaging sector. Founded in 1964, Arden Dies and Arden Engraving specialise in die and tooling manufacture for the packaging, carton and label sectors.
