Arden has once again been recognised for our excellence and innovation, winning two prestigious awards at the Family Business of the Year Awards.
We were crowned Manufacturing Family Business of the Year and Family Business of the Year for the North of England and Northern Ireland at the prestigious awards event in London, which celebrate the achievements of family-owned businesses from across the UK from all industries and sectors.
This double accolade comes on the heels of Arden’s recent triumph at the North West Family Business Awards in May, where we scooped the Digital Transformation Award. Our awards success is all the more poignant as this year we’re celebrating our diamond anniversary – 60 years in business.
Martin Poynter, Managing Director of the Arden Group, said: “Winning these awards is a tremendous honour for us all at the Arden Group, especially in our 60th anniversary year.
“It’s testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team, and reinforces our position as leaders in the packaging industry, motivating us to continue to deliver exceptional products, quality and service for our customers.
“As a family business, we take great pride in our heritage and the values passed down through generations. My father, Frank Poynter, was a pioneer in the die-making industry, and his legacy of innovation and excellence is something we strive to uphold every day.
“We look forward to continuing our journey of growth and success, driven by the same family values that have guided us for the past six decades.”
Arden was founded as a die-makers in 1964 by brothers Frank and Philip Poynter from the cellar of their family home in Stockport. Fast-forward to today and the Arden Group of companies, which comprises a die-making, engraving and software arm, is a leading name in the packaging sector employing around 300 people around the world, and is now in its third generation of family ownership.
The Family Business of the Year Awards are organised by Family Business United to recognise the accomplishments of family-owned businesses and the contribution they make to the UK economy.
Paul Andrews, Founder and CEO of Family Business United, said: “These awards were created to make families in business appreciate the significant impact they have, whether they are large or small, first generation or multigenerational and to recognise the collective importance they have to the economy and communities the length and breadth of the nation.”
