Arden Engraving launches next-generation embossing technology, transforming the packaging sector
Posted on: Tuesday, October 28th, 2025
Arden Engraving has launched ground-breaking new embossing technology that is revolutionising the packaging sector.
The MTS-SQS (Magnetic Transfer System – Stamp Quick Setup) has now been officially patented across Europe, the UK and the USA, and is already being adopted by leading converters worldwide.
Developed by STAMP Systems Europe (SSE), Arden’s Polish sister site and part of the Arden Group, the MTS-SQS embossing system represents a breakthrough in embossing technology.
The innovation has also been embraced by Marbach GmbH, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of die-cutting tools, and who are now the exclusive sales partner for the system in Europe.
The MTS-SQS magnetic transfer system embeds magnets into the embossing forces, enabling automatic alignment. This eliminates the need for traditional pin systems, significantly improving set-up speed, image registration accuracy, and ease of operation.
Through close collaboration between Arden and STAMP, the MTS-SQS has been refined and rolled out for use across the UK, US, Asian and European markets, setting a new benchmark for efficiency, repeatability and performance.
Alongside MTS-SQS, Arden has also launched the Fitpad System, designed to complement and enhance the MTS-SQS magnetic embossing process. The Fitpad kit includes magnetic impression pads, memory pins, transfer cards and embossing height shims, providing a clearly defined SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for single and two-pass embossing. This supports make-ready standardisation, simplifies training, and removes the complexity and myths traditionally associated with embossing set-up.
Together, MTS-SQS and Fitpad offer a streamlined, standardised embossing workflow, helping converters achieve faster, more precise, and more consistent results.
Steve Boyd, Head of Sales at Arden Engraving, said: “Arden has a long history of leading innovation and pushing boundaries, and the MTS-SQS and Fitpad systems are taking embossing technology to a new level. Working with STAMP Systems Europe, we’re excited to bring this transformative technology to customers across the UK, US and European markets.
“These systems simplify one of the most challenging areas of converting, empowering our customers to achieve higher quality, improved accuracy and greater efficiency with less downtime. The feedback from early adopters has been fantastic, and it’s exciting to see these technologies gaining such strong momentum through our partners, including Marbach, across Europe and beyond.”
The MTS-SQS system was first showcased at the Topacking Summit in Surabaya, Indonesia, in May. The inaugural event brought together suppliers, converters, and brand owners to share technological advancements and foster collaboration across the packaging supply chain. Following the summit, interest in the MTS-SQS system surged, reflecting the industry’s recognition of its potential to transform embossing workflows.
