We’re proud to announce that the Arden Group has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s Stockport Business Awards.

We’ve been named as a finalist is both the ‘Family Business of the Year’ and the ‘Medium Business of Year’ categories. This recognition comes during a milestone year for the Arden Group, as we mark our 60th anniversary – a journey that began in a Stockport cellar in 1965.

The Stockport Business Awards celebrate the achievements of companies across the borough, showcasing the strength and diversity of Stockport’s economy by recognising businesses of all sizes and sectors.

Sarah Poynter, Arden Dies Operations Director, said: “To be shortlisted in two categories of the Stockport Business Awards is a real honour for us, especially during our 60th anniversary year.

“As a business that was founded and has grown in Stockport, it’s wonderful to be recognised locally for both our commercial success and our ongoing commitment to remaining a family-run company.

“This recognition is a tribute to the many people who have helped shape the business over the decades, and to the incredible team we have today. Their hard work, talent and dedication continue to drive our innovation and success. We’re proud of our heritage, and just as proud of every person who has played their part in the Arden story.”

Arden was founded as a die-makers in 1965 by brothers Frank and Philip Poynter from the cellar of their family home in Bredbury, Stockport.

Today, the Arden Group of companies, which includes die-making, engraving and software divisions, has its headquarters in Marple, Stockport, and operates internationally with offices across Europe, the USA, and India. Employing around 260 people worldwide, the business is now in its third generation of family ownership.

The winners of the Stockport Business Awards 2025 will be announced at a special awards ceremony on 2 October at Edgeley Park in Stockport.
